Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of AbraStat, AbraGrade and AbraStat Teacher (together, the “Service”), which are provided by Plus C Labs LLC (“we”, “us”). By using the Service you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.

Your account

You sign in with Google or with an email address and password. You are responsible for your account and for what happens under it. Give us accurate information and keep your sign-in secure. Tell us at support@abrastat.com if you think someone else has used your account.

Acceptable use

Please don’t:

• break the law, or use the Service to harass, threaten or harm others;
• upload content you don’t have the right to share, or that includes information about people you don’t have authority to share (see “Student and class information” below);
• try to gain access to accounts or data that aren’t yours, disrupt the Service, or bypass its limits or access controls;
• publish public datasets or polls that are offensive, misleading or unlawful. We may remove content and polls in our moderation queue at our discretion.

Your content

You keep ownership of the datasets, polls, assessments, class lists and other content you put into the Service. You give us permission to store, process and display it as needed to run the Service for you, and, for content you choose to make public, to show it to other users. You are responsible for your content.

Student and class information

AbraGrade lets teachers enter student names and grade student work. If you enter information about students, you confirm that you are permitted to do so, for example by your school or district, and that you will follow the laws and school policies that apply to you (such as FERPA in the United States). We use that information only to provide the Service. See our Privacy Policy.

AbraGrade results

AbraGrade reads scanned bubble sheets automatically. Scans can be misread, for example because of smudges, stray marks or poor scan quality. AbraGrade flags answers it is unsure about, but you are responsible for reviewing results before you rely on them for grades.

AbraStat Teacher subscriptions

• What it includes. AbraStat Teacher gives you access to AbraGrade, poll creation, publishing public datasets and dataset copy links. One subscription covers both AbraStat and AbraGrade. Students never need to pay to answer polls or open shared datasets.
• Plans and price. Plans and prices are shown when you subscribe. Payments are handled by Stripe.
• Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (yearly or monthly) until you cancel.
• Free month. New subscribers get a one-month free trial on either plan, once per account. If you cancel before the trial ends, you won’t be charged. If you don’t, your first payment is taken when the trial ends.
• Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from “Manage billing” on the subscription page. Your access continues until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
• Refunds. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are non-refundable. If something went wrong, write to support@abrastat.com and we will try to make it right.
• Price changes. If we change the price, we’ll tell you in advance, and the new price applies from your next renewal.
• Taxes. Prices may not include taxes, which may be added where required.
• If a subscription ends. Your saved data stays available to you, but features that need a subscription stop working until you subscribe again.

Scholarships and complimentary access

We may give free or discounted access to some people. This access can be changed or withdrawn, and these terms apply to it in the same way.

Ending your use

You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms or misuse the Service. To delete your account and data, write to support@abrastat.com.

No warranty

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without promises that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose, to the extent the law allows.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, Plus C Labs LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost data, grades or profits arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or $50 if you haven’t paid anything. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Changes

We may update these terms. When we make a significant change we’ll post the new version here with a new date. If you keep using the Service after a change, you accept the updated terms.
