Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information AbraStat, AbraGrade and AbraStat Teacher (the “Service”, provided by Plus C Labs LLC) collect, how it is used and who it is shared with. We aim to collect only what the Service needs.

What we collect

• Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile photo. If you sign up with email, we receive your email address and a password, which is handled by our sign-in provider, Firebase Authentication.
• Content you create. The datasets, polls and poll responses, AbraGrade class lists (including student names), assessments, answer keys and scored results you enter or upload, and Puzzle Week entries and team names.
• Subscription information. Whether you have a subscription and its status, plan and renewal date, plus your Stripe customer reference.
• Technical information. Our hosting provider records basic information such as your IP address and browser type in its logs when you visit, as most websites do.

We do not collect your card number. Payments are handled on pages hosted by Stripe.

How we use it

• to run the Service, including sign-in, saving your work, grading and showing polls;
• to manage subscriptions and take payment;
• to keep the Service secure and to prevent abuse;
• to answer your messages and provide support.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Student and class information

Teachers can enter student names in AbraGrade class lists. We use this only to provide the Service to that teacher, and we do not share it with other users. Scanned pages are read in your browser, and the results are saved to your account. The teacher is responsible for having permission from their school or district to enter student information. If you are a parent or student and want student information removed, contact the teacher or school first, or write to us.

Who we share it with

• Google (Firebase). Provides sign-in and stores your data.
• Stripe. Processes payments and manages billing.
• Vercel. Hosts the website.

These providers handle information on our behalf under their own terms and privacy policies. Content you choose to make public (such as public datasets) can be seen by other users, and public poll answers may be shown in poll results. We may also share information if the law requires it.

Cookies and similar storage

We use browser storage to keep you signed in and to remember preferences such as your theme. We do not currently use advertising or third-party analytics cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is open. You can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time (see below). Payment records may be kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you by writing to support@abrastat.com. You can also delete individual datasets, polls and AbraGrade records yourself in the Service.

Children

AbraStat is used in classrooms. Teachers and schools decide whether and how students use the Service and are responsible for having any permission the law requires, such as under COPPA and FERPA in the United States. We do not knowingly collect information from children for any purpose other than providing the Service to their teacher or school.

Changes

If we make a significant change to this policy, we’ll post the new version here with a new date.
